COURSE OVERVIEW

The program focuses on various theoretical knowledge dealing with the fundamentals of education, its sciences and curricula, in addition to the economics of education and educational administration, the relationship between regional planning and educational planning, teaching strategies and modern teaching methods. The student also examines the methods of educational evaluation of the curricula and their effectiveness and relevance to the objectives that have been set for them. In addition, the educational administration and educational guidance methods have their goals, patterns and functions that the student should delve into. The graduate of this program is familiar with methods of educational research, methods of statistics, and the establishment of educational field research.

The teaching team, which combines academic and professional training skills, will teach you and introduce you to best Education practices, trends and recent issues.

All units are taught by experienced lecturers who hold a PhD and have spent many years working in various education institutions

Course Aims

This program will enable you to:

  • Delve into the educational field and its various specializations, and to obtain expertise in the many fields of education: educational research methods, educational administration, educational planning, teaching methods, educational counseling, educational psychology, classroom management.
  • The program also takes into account providing students with a comprehensive scientific knowledge of theories and modern educational schools and their curricula in order to prepare students to work in broad educational fields and institutions, in addition to carrying out scientific research in the field of education and educational development.

The program structure is as follows:

  • The program consists of compulsory (compulsory and optional) assessed in units, seminars and research messages.
  • Compulsory subjects: 6 subjects + seminars (seminars)
  • Elective courses: 4 courses (the student may not choose more than two subjects for each semester) that the student chooses from the list of optional courses, which are 12 subjects.
  • Study material requirements: understanding – interacting – passing exams.
  • Practical training requirements: preparation and implementation of field research

§  Minimum Degree Requirements:

  • The duration of the program is two years, divided into two parts.
  • The first part: two semesters, each semester is 15 weeks long, and the student gets 30 ECTS for each semester, so that the total for the two semesters is 60 ECTS.
  • The second part: It is a scientific research project for an academic year that results in writing a research thesis, and the student gets 60 ECTS , so that the total of the two parts is 120 ECTS ,for obtaining the Philosophical Master in Education.
  • Being able to use educational measurement and evaluation methods.
  • Having the appropriate intellectual skills that allow the teacher to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Having proficiency in research methods, survey and computer skills.
  • Demonstrating the educational and professional values needed for teaching and the good attitudes and behavior of a good citizenship.
  • Having the ability of continuous and lifelong self-learning.
  • Having a broad vision in terms of tackling teaching situations and taking appropriate decisions.
  • Providing learners with life skills that enhance their personal and social development.
  • Determining the educational needs of students according to priority.
  • You should have an undergraduate degree at 2.2 or above, or equivalent qualification, from a recognized university or higher education institute.
  • Mature applicants without an undergraduate degree but with relevant business experience are encouraged to apply, subject to interview.
  • Applicants with professional qualifications and/or four years of full-time work experience will be considered on an individual basis.
  • For exemption: If you hold qualifications or courses from another higher education institution, these may exempt you from courses of this degree
